Mario Papathanasiou
From behind the booth to the front of the boardroom, sonic branding strategist and DJ, Mario Papathanasiou is a selector of choice for the world's most elite clientele. More than a decade ago, Mario started off DJing events in Boston and Los Angeles and has performed at hundreds of events for brands such as Armani, Hugo Boss, Vogue Magazine, Cisco Systems, Warner Brothers, A+E Television Network and has performed with artists such as Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Train, and Lenny Kravitz.
Mario, a native of Boston, is a graduate of Emerson College where he majored in communications and radio. He spent four years as an on-air radio host at WERS 88.9FM, the #1 rated college radio station in the country.
Five years ago, Mario started taking his selection skills into a number of different business verticals. He has programmed background music for clients such as The Langham Hotel, The Fairmont Hotel, Saloniki Restaurants, and dozens of other top businesses. Additional projects in sonic branding include runway music for Saks Fifth Avenue, Donna Karan, and Burberry, and scoring a fireworks presentation for VMWare at VMWorld in San Fransisco.
